Project A.L.O.E. is the brainchild of Jumoke K. Dada. On May 7, 2010, she had an epiphany of sorts after a friend asked her to buy an unused curling iron and she declined having unused curlers of her own. Later, at a hair salon, she watched stylists do hair for young girls and thought about creating an opportunity for girls to receive hair care advice from experts. Recognizing that there were many girls that could benefit from advice (and products), she decided on helping the college bound population and reached out to friends for help. On June 7, 2010, along with a team of dynamic women, she launched Project A.L.O.E. On August 7, 2010, the team held an amazing P.A. Cares Send Off Event and realized that it was just the beginning.
